Trade Stands - Ashover Show Wednesday 13th August 2008 There are approximately 120 plots for trade stands at Ashover Show. The charges for stands are calculated per metre of stand plot frontage and contribute towards the costs of staging the Show. The frontages of stands vary from 3 metres up to 40 metres and the depth of the plots varies according to where it is on the Showground, with a minimum figure of about 6 metres Cost of stands The rates are: General stands - £15 per metre Stands directly related to agriculture/and horticulture - £5 per metre. Charity/Public Service - £5 per metre. Food and drink stands are generally the subject of a tendering process and enquiries should be made to Mrs Jackie Twilley, Secretary. Email: ashovershow@aol.com Criteria for applications The Show receives many more applications than it can accommodate and therefore has to prioritise. The criteria taken into account are: Relevance to agriculture or horticulture Appropriateness for a country show Quality of the stand and attractiveness to visitors Local businesses Willingness to sponsor the Show Willingness to advertise in the programme Previous successful involvement in the Show including, for example, prompt payment Please note: If we are able to offer you a place we will try to accommodate your wishes but cannot guarantee any particular site. You will need to confirm that you will comply with relevant Health and Safety requirements. The stands are approximately 8 feet in length and tables can be supplied, if required, at no additional charge. Cost of craft stands Craft stand plots, with or without a table, are £40.
